Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
If you are looking for a place to celebrate Sunday Mass, check out the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. We were both very involved in the VCU Catholic Campus Ministry, so we were regularly attending and volunteering at the Cathedral. Although we didn't start dating until years later, this is the place where we first laid eyes on each other.
Canal Walk
We went on so many walks together when we were first getting to know each other. We spent hours walking in loops around the canal, listening to music, and talking about anything and everything.
Buskey Cider
Our go-to chill date night spot! Grab a cider and one of their many board games. Our latest board game obsession is Sequence.
Bingo Beer Co
We went here on our first date and got pretty competitive with the arcade games.

We continued our competitive streak at this hotel-themed mini golf spot!
Triple Crossing Beer - Fulton
We almost had our wedding reception here! We went here on our first unofficial date for a swing dancing event. It was the first time that we danced together and started to think we may kinda like each other. The rest is history :)
Grandstaff & Stein
After our swing dancing night, we made a few friends who invited us out to this local speakeasy. The food is amazing and it has such a cool vibe! Don't forget to check their Facebook page beforehand to get the secret code!

Weather permitting, consider renting a boat for a few hours and cruise down the river! Make a reservation with the Lilly Pad once you dock for a yummy meal and gorgeous sunset view!
