FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive at Glen Foerd at 4pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is Formal/Black-Tie Optional. This includes both tuxes and suits. It also includes floor or ankle length gowns as well as nicer knee-length cocktail dresses. Dressy jumpsuits are also welcome. Also keep in mind the venue is on the water and it may get chilly as the evening goes on; there is a coat check available.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding is adult-only, but a few young guests have been invited by name.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All guests have been invited by name and 'guest' will be specified on your envelope. When RSVPing through our website, you will see the option to RSVP for your guest as well.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we have hotel blocks at four hotels in the area - two just minutes from the venue and two in the city. All links to book through the hotel blocks can be found on the travel page. Reservations are first come, but can be held no later than September 15.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Glen Foerd provides valet parking, so just drive through the front gates and into the circle at the front of the building and your car will be parked for you.

Question

Should I bring cash?

Answer

Cash isn't required, we'll have an open bar. Tips for the event staff are appreciated but optional.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony is outdoors, but we have an indoor plan in case of rain. Cocktail hour and the reception will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, with the option to move everything inside if needed.

Question

Is this an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We ask that all guests silence or turn off their phones. We will have a professional photographer, so please do not take pictures during the ceremony.
