Aaron and Braelyn first met at the Campus Outreach New Year’s Conference in 2022, but for years only knew of each other. There are even photos of them right next to each other without noticing. At a conference in February 2025, Braelyn finally struck up a conversation with Aaron—and everything changed. They quickly realized how much they had in common and spent the rest of the week together. By the end, Aaron asked for her number and suggested a date: film cameras, a photo walk, and coffee. (Somehow that date never happened.) A few months into dating, they had separate trips to South Africa and Zambia, even passing through the same airport hours apart. By God's grace, the distance that summer only strengthened their relationship! One year to the day of asking her out, Aaron finally took Braelyn on that photo walk—and at the last stop, proposed.
