We met about 6 years ago when he was graduating from xray school and I was at his clinical rotation to shadow the position before I started xray school. He happened to be one of the students I shadowed and I quickly developed a crush on his non-bearded little boy face but found out the timing just wasn't right. Fast forward about 3 years later and he moved out to Liverpool and was working in the same position at Upstate with my roommate, it was fate. We didn't even really remember that we had met before until our first date when we talked about xray school and we also learned our parents lived within a mile of each other at one point and we had so many other things in common. The rest is history!
On my 30th birthday Aaron gave me a puzzle with pictures of us in a jewelry box (he said so that I didn't know what pictures were in it) and made me promise not to do it without him. A couple days later we were bored and he was like "hey let's do the puzzle?". I love puzzles by the way, so many points for thoughtfulness. We started to do the puzzle and he said about halfway through that we should stop and have dinner so he cooked some steaks on the grill, and I put a couple more pieces together even though I was supposed to stop. Sorry babe. So after eating we were getting near the end of the puzzle it seemed like we were running out of pieces and wouldn't have enough to finish the center. This sly guy comes around behind me and drops some pieces on the table he had stashed, this is the moment I started getting a little fluttery but still kept thinking it might just say I love you so don't get too excited. I got through 2 words on the puzzle of "will you" and looked over and he was on his knee. Heart was pounding. We were engaged! We glued the puzzle together and put it in a frame in the living room, it's beautiful.
