Buckhorn Exchange
This is Louis J.'s favorite restaurant! With the oldest liquor license in the state and a 19th-century bar imported from Germany, this is a fantastic foray in to Wild West Colorado cuisine and history. Come prepared to challenge your hunger!
The Fort
The original (actually an elaborate copy) Colorado trading post and kitchen with stunning mountain hill views. We recommend hiking on the trails around Red Rocks Amphitheater prior to work up an appetite. Can accommodate parties.
Garden of the Gods
We may not live in CO Springs but we sure do love Garden of the Gods. Bring plenty of water while walking around!
Colorado Railroad Museum
This was our favorite stop from the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway day-trip. You can see a Galloping Goose and countless other railroad artifacts. The museum is across the river from Coors Brewery and their in-house Rail-yard.
Indian Hot Springs
A great way to relax after traveling the infamous I-70 and its scary traffic!
John Denver Sanctuary
Louis' family has deep roots in Aspen, and exploring the wonders of the western slope is a family pastime. Extend your trip to Grand Junction or even Moab, UT if allowable. Aspen has a substantial airport for your consideration.
Leadville
Talk about Rocky Mountain High! Leadville is the U.S.A.'s highest incorporated city and molybdenum mine. Visit the National Mining Museum and Colorado Mountain College's Leadville campus. Take Independence Pass to Aspen and visit the John Denver Sanctuary while on the Western Slope.
Rocky Mountain National Park
Hit up Angelica anytime for a Pika picture party in RMNP. Louis loves the mountain views and coffee at 14,000 feet.
Super Star Asian Cuisine
This is where Angelica gets her dim sum fix. Get some hot tea, practice your chopsticks skills and dig in.
