FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emma Jenkins and Andrew Fischer
If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, feel free to email us at aandefischer@gmail.com!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs are due by April 15th! You can RSVP at the "RSVP" tab on our website, or email us at aandefischer@gmail.com to let us know if we'll see you on the big day! If you have not RSVPd by the deadline, we will regretfully have to assume you aren't able to join us.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that you'd wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. Our wedding will be colorful, so feel free to dress in fun colors--just avoid any colors reserved for the bride (such as whites, ivories, and creams).

Question

Can I take pictures or videos of the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from having phones, cameras, or other personal devices out during our ceremony. We have our bases covered with two photographers and a videographer, and ask that you would turn your devices off and be present for our ceremony!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding intimate, we ask that you only bring the number of guests allotted on your invitation (you should be able to see this when you RSVP). So unless we've given you a plus one, we ask that you not bring a date!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love them, we ask that you please leave your kiddos at home unless their names are on the invitation. You will be able to see who from your family is invited to the ceremony and reception on your RSVP!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! We will have a parking garage paid for at 1015 Locust Street (right next to the ceremony venue & a block from the reception venue), as well as a lot across the street that charges hourly. There is also a good amount of street parking in the blocks surrounding the venue, which will likely be free due to our wedding being on a Sunday (but be sure to check your meter when you park)! If you need accessible parking accommodations, don't hesitate to reach out to us at aandefischer@gmail.com so we can best accommodate your needs!

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams! Beyond that, our wedding will be quite colorful, so feel free to wear fun colors!

Question

Are you registered? If so, where?

Answer

We are registered at Target and Amazon! You can see our registries under the "Registry" tab.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We would be more than happy to accommodate you! Our food options will all be labeled for allergens, and we will ensure that you get a great meal. Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, or email them to us at aandefischer@gmail.com!

Question

What is the difference between "Slate" and "Willow"?

Answer

Slate is our ceremony venue, while Willow is our reception venue. Both are operated under the same business, and are just a block away from each other! Any information you need regarding the two venues will be addressed in your invitation, as well as posted on our website closer to the date.
