A & E Meant to Be

Eric and Amanda met at a mutual friend's birthday party in Hoboken at the bar Wicked Wolf. Both chronically single and not looking for anything, Amanda and Eric hit it off. They got to talking and then all of a sudden Eric winks-- it was one of those movie star winks that makes you melt right in your seat. After a few more winks (and drinks) they exchanged numbers. Eric wanted Amanda to stay longer at the bar, but she simply replied "how about you ask me out on a date?" Eric texted Amanda the next day and well, you know the rest.

To make a long story short, Eric had a proposal planned that Amanda found out about (you can't keep a secret from her.) Amanda, with the guilty conscious she has, told Eric she knew his plan. A month earlier than planned, Eric and Amanda go for a walk in Liberty State park where they often go running together. Eric walked with his hands in his pockets the whole way-- Amanda didn't think anything of it! Next thing you know, Eric is professing his love and admiration to Amanda (Amanda thinking "oh boy, he's not on his knee doing this and we're not even by the water!") Eric finally gets on one knee, teary eyed, and asks Amanda to marry him. Of course, she said "Yes!!"
