Two People.

There was a time when two people were lost in the chaos of the world. These two people had been in the same part of town, lived streets over from each other, ate at the same restaraunts, shopped at the same stores, were connected through mutual people, and had never stumbled upon one another. It was late Monday night, when he strolled into the bar, it was well into her shift. By this time Karaoke Monday was in full swing. Another table to add to her section, she frantically took orders, the stress and noise melted, as his words danced through the air, she realized this was a stranger she wanted to know. The night ended, and she went home with dreams of this mystery man. Reality sank in, and sadness crept beside her, as she realized she might not ever see him again. The next week when he showed up, once again serenading her with songs full of his soulful voice she fell deeper into curiousness. She left work, dancing in a fog of giddy, and bliss. The next week, there was no doubt in her mind that she couldnt go on any longer without having this beam of light in her life. From that day on the two people lived in harmony. Pushing the boundaries of the walls they had once built for themselves, they realized ,no longer would they need to protect themselves from one another. The love they had built, was stronger than any insecurity or doubt that once plagued them. With their baggage unpacked they finally could be free.

Freedom Binding

Being a creature of habit, I had fallen into a comfort zone, I was fine with my day to day life, with the baggage that I hadn't even known I was living with. One night changed my entire perspective on life. I walked into a bar, ready to drink my night away and forget a painful memory. We find a table, the night begins to unfold, a bubbly waitress welcomes us. I couldnt help but stare, who wouldn't. She was breathtaking, I ordered my usual poison, Pineapple juice and rum with a mountain of cherries. We laughed, we joked, The night ended with a smile plastered on our faces. As I left the bar, sadness hugged my body slowly as I walked out the doors I thought "man I might never see her again.” Next Monday, with plans to go sing my heart out, I had vanishing thoughts of her. I wanted to know who she was, the reality of never seeing her again set foot in my mind. I shrugged it off and went once more to the Bar. The door swings open to reveal none other than the woman I had been hoping to see. A smile came upon her face and a glow of the utmost perfection. The night grew long, my feelings began to grow. Who is this beautifully kindred soul stuck at this bar? The night ended and I had to say goodbye once more. The weeks after were chiseled with memories of me going back to the same bar, for the same woman, serenading her with the my love drunken voice, to the sweet tunes of Frank Sinatra & Elton John. I visited her three days in a row! The third day we were struck with a terrible storm that left me stranded at the bar. The power went out, and I stayed to wait out the rain. Without hesitation she offered me a ride after her shift, and I gratefully accepted. On the way to her car I thought to myself "this is it. This is the woman I want in my life" Our story came to be, our lives were entangled, we had shown the love we can give to ourselves, and the growth we can achieve together. The two were now one, forever free to roam the night sky in a dance of fiery passion.
