In the bustling summer heat of Penn State's summer bridge program, Millo, the aspiring engineer, and Aaliyah, the Biobehavioral Health enthusiast, found themselves thrown together by fate's whimsical hand. Their first encounter was as unremarkable as it was fateful—sharing nervous glances on the way to orientation, amidst a sea of eager freshmen-to-be. But it wasn't until a fateful trip to Walmart that their destinies collided. As they perused the aisles, Millo, armed with enough hand sanitizer to ward off a zombie apocalypse (courtesy of his mom's overzealous shopping habits), offered Aaliyah a bottle with a sheepish grin. It was an awkward gesture, but it sparked a friendship that would soon bloom into something more. Millo, with his knack for numbers and a heart as big as his engineering dreams, began tutoring Aaliyah in math. But as he helped her conquer equations, he found himself tangled in the complex equation of his own feelings. Enter Trevor, Millo's ever-enthusiastic roommate and self-appointed love guru, who pumped him up with enough confidence to rival a superhero. "You gotta go for it, man! Lay it all on the line!" Trevor exclaimed, slapping Millo's back with the force of a motivational speaker on overdrive. And so, fueled by a heady mix of nerves and determination, Millo sprinted upstairs to Aaliyah's dorm room, bursting through the door like a rom-com protagonist on a mission. "I like you, and I want you. Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. The choice is yours," he declared, channeling his inner action hero. To his relief and utter delight, after wiping the pepper spray from his eyes, Aaliyah burst into laughter, charmed by his audacity and captivated by his sincerity.
