Information Regarding The Event

Question

Is this your “wedding”?

Answer

This is not our “wedding” celebration — it is our kitb kitab (nikkah), the Islamic marriage ceremony. Our formal wedding and walima (reception) will take place in 2026. We can’t wait to celebrate with you then!

Question

Is it important to arrive on time and stay until the end of the celebration?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask that all guests arrive on time and stay for the entire duration of the events. We’d love for you to be there for every special moment, including the Ruhksati (our cultural farewell) at 9:40 PM. Your presence at the end will mean the world to us as we’re sent off properly and celebrate together until the very last moment!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing pink or pure white. As this is a religious celebration, we also request modest dress in keeping with the sacredness of the occasion. Many members of the bride and groom’s families will be wearing traditional South Asian (Desi) attire, and guests are warmly welcome to do the same.

Question

Are RSVPs necessary?

Answer

Yes, they are! Please make sure to RSVP by 07/01/25. Due to limited space, we won’t be able to guarantee a spot for guests who haven’t responded by that date. Your timely reply helps us finalize everything and ensures you’re part of our special day!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We kindly ask that you only bring a guest if your invitation specifically includes one.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

It’s incredibly important that all guests arrive on time and are seated by 5:00 PM, as our ceremony will begin promptly. Please allow extra time for travel, parking, and finding your seat so you don’t miss a moment of the ceremony!
