What is the dress code for your wedding?

In order to complete our ideal wedding atmosphere, we request all guests to wear a complete black formal ensemble. This entails refraining from wearing colors other than black, thereby aligning with the theme of our wedding "Till Death Do Us Part". Should there be a subtle accent of color within the black attire, this is acceptable. For any uncertainties regarding attire suitability, please do not hesitate to contact us at andrewalessandralam@gmail.com ; we are readily available to offer any assistance. We sincerely appreciate your adherence to this dress code, as it significantly enhances the overall sophistication of the celebration.

What date should I RSVP by?

-September 15, 2024- Please RSVP as soon as possible. This will help the planning and coordination with our vendors. Beyond the specified deadline, regrettably, we will be unable to accept any further RSVPs, as this timeframe is essential for logistical and food planning purposes.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to constraints/budgetary considerations, we have had to make some difficult decisions, and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those explicitly mentioned on the invitation. Should it be pertinent that you require a plus one, kindly reach out to us directly so that we may engage in further discussion on this matter. We hope you understand the challenges we've faced in making these decisions, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding and support. Our priority is to create an intimate and memorable celebration, and we believe this decision will contribute to the overall experience for everyone in attendance. Once again, thank you for your understanding. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing this special day with you and creating beautiful memories together.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding event. We appreciate your understanding. At the California banquet children will be allowed.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We are having an Unplugged Ceremony. This means that all guests are required to put away, silence or turn off all of their devices (cell phones, cameras, etc.) for the duration of the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer who will capture all of our important moments! They have been recommended by our great friend Sean Lara, who is an amazing photographer himself.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

You may enter the venue as early as 3:00pm. We kindly request your punctuality by arriving no later than 10 minutes before the ceremony, which starts at 4:00pm. In the event of tardiness, we regret to inform you that entry will be deferred until the conclusion of the ceremony. For guests requiring access to the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT), we kindly advise allocating additional time to accommodate potential traffic delays. Your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this timeline are sincerely appreciated.

Will Daylight Saving affect the ceremony start time?

Answer

Please be advised that Daylight Saving Time will commence on November 3. The majority of smartphones will automatically adjust the time. If you do not utilize a smartphone, please take into consideration the commencement of Daylight Saving Time when ensuring punctuality.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

Currently, it is confirmed that we will have a buffet for food. Once the menu is finalized, we will provide more information.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We are delighted to provide an open bar for your enjoyment. While we want everyone to have a great time, we kindly ask that you drink responsibly. Your safety and the well-being of all our guests are of utmost importance to us. Please be mindful of your alcohol consumption, and if needed, make use of alternative transportation options. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a memorable and safe celebration for all.

Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be hosted indoors.

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

The weather in Virginia in November can vary, but generally, it tends to be cool with fall foliage. Average temperatures can range from around 40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It's a good idea to bring layers, as temperatures can be cooler in the mornings and evenings. Additionally, November may see some precipitation, so having a jacket or coat and possibly an umbrella is advisable. Keep in mind that weather conditions can vary, so it's always a good idea to check a reliable local weather forecast closer to your planned visit.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

An interlude is planned between the ceremony and reception, during which a formal cocktail hour will transpire. Throughout this interval, the wedding party will be engaged in photography sessions, while remaining guests are invited to partake in beverages available at the open bar. Your patience and participation during this intermission are appreciated.

The reception will conclude promptly at 9:00 PM, and no afterparty is scheduled. A celebratory wedding banquet will be hosted in California on the following week: Sunday, November 10, 2024 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM NBC Seafood Restaurant 404 S Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA 91754

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Answer

We intend to conduct a livestream of the wedding ceremony, contingent upon the stability and functionality of the available Wi-Fi connection. Your presence, whether in person or virtually, is deeply valued, and we endeavor to facilitate your participation in this momentous occasion to the best of our ability.

Will an elevator be available at the venue?

Answer

An elevator is provided for indoor use as needed. This facility enables guests to transition from the reception room on the ground floor to the cocktail hour area on the upper level. Within the elevator, a "HELP" button is present. It is imperative that it is only activated in the event of an emergency. Any unwarranted activation of the "HELP" button will incur a fee of $250.

Is smoking/vaping allowed inside of the venue?

Answer

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the confines of the venue. Should the need to smoke or vape arise, it is imperative that such activities be conducted outside the premises. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a fee of $500.
