The Swipe!

Like many modern love stories, ours too, began with a swipe. We matched on a dating app—expecting nothing more than a casual conversation. But what started as a simple “hello” quickly turned into hours of talking and laughing. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, when we finally decided it was time to meet in person.
First Date!

That first date changed everything. Aakash showed up with flowers in hand (he still does), and what was meant to be a simple meeting, turned out to be a date to remember. From random stories to easy laughter, the connection felt natural and effortless. By the end of the night, it was clear this was something special. Aakash asked Richa out, making their very first date the official beginning of their relationship.
Long Distance Relationship!

From the very first date, our love grew across cities and miles. We dated long distance, making the most of every call, every message, and every moment in between. Meet-ups became something to look forward to—filled with travel and exploring new cities together. Distance taught us patience, trust, and the value of showing up for each other. We found a home in each other’s families. From the very beginning, the warmth, love, and acceptance from both families made our journey even more special.
The Proposal!

Then came a day that changed everything once again. Aakash went full secret-agent mode. To keep the proposal under wraps, he told a few harmless lies (all forgiven, of course), made sure Richa was dressed perfectly and had her nails done. A breathtaking spot overlooking the NYC skyline is where he finally popped the question. The “yes” was easy, heartfelt and everything we hoped for. The secret-agent didn't stop there. Earlier that day, Richa happily helped plan and set up what she thought was just another family get-together… only to find out later that it was actually her own engagement party (we still laugh about it).
