Their first date was at Egg Posh in Frisco, TX. Aabid arrived first and went inside, unsure whether he should wait outside or grab a table. When Nagma arrived, she asked to change their seating. At the time she was vegetarian, so they spent some time looking through the menu options together. But the moment that stuck with Aabid the most was realizing he didn’t want to sit across from her—he wanted to sit next to her.
Aabid did, although he didn’t fully realize it at first. One morning he was at the Juice shop and told the guy there, “I love this girl.” The guy asked him three times to repeat it, and each time he said it again: “I love this girl.” Only later did it hit him what he had just admitted out loud. That night he told Nagma the story and asked her to be his girlfriend. She paused for a moment and asked, “What would change?” Aabid replied, “Maybe a few heart emojis here and there… nothing else.”
Our first trip together to San Antonio. Walking along the River Walk, exploring the city, and Aabid proudly giving Nagma a full history lesson about Texas made it unforgettable. It was the perfect mix of travel, laughs, and discovering a new place together.
Nagma is very health-conscious… and Aabid has somehow managed to make her eat fries much more often than she probably planned.
