Your love and support mean the world to us, and truly, your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for. While we’re not expecting anything, if you feel moved to give, we’re gratefully accepting contributions toward the bride’s medical expenses or the building of our future home. You’re welcome to give through our registry or in any way that feels comfortable to you.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive around 5 PM. The ceremony starts at 5:15.

Is there a dress code?

Western Semi-Formal Think: your best boots, jeans without holes, button-ups, cowboy hats, and western-chic dresses. Look sharp but keep it country.

The couple has set up a hotel block with a discounted rate at the country Inn suites by Radisson in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, we picked the pavilion at the park closest to both the parking lot and the handicap accessible bathrooms for an easy and convenient day for everyone

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, due to the size of our wedding, it just was not financially responsible to book transportation. Please drink responsibly please do not drink and drive. Uber is available in the area.

If you were already married, why are you having a wedding??

Answer

The couple chose to elope in secret due to the bride’s health. While a larger celebration was always part of the plan, they made the decision to move forward with marriage quietly and privately. Now, they’re excited to gather with loved ones and create the joyful wedding celebration they always envisioned — not just for themselves, but to honor everyone who’s supported them along the way. Remember, everyone should feel celebrated and shouldn’t feel bad for asking.

what type of food will you be having?

Answer

We’ve chosen a traditional Southern barbecue with all the fixings to celebrate with you! The two main entrées will be pulled pork and brisket, served alongside a variety of classic sides. For dessert, enjoy a tempting selection including a three-bar setup with multiple cakes, banana pudding, gluten-free cupcakes, and a vegan dessert option for any guests who need it. If you have any dietary restrictions, please be sure to list them on your RSVP so we can accommodate you.

We’ll be offering a selection of drinks including beer, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and Twisted Tea. Our beer choices are Yuengling Black & Tan and Sam Adams summer ale Feel free to bring any other drinks you prefer—just remember to share the good times and sip responsibly!

is the event indoor or outdoor?

Our celebration will take place outdoors at a picnic shelter in Edgar Evins State Park. The shelter is covered, so the event will go on rain or shine. To keep you comfortable, we’ll have a Comfort Station set up with essentials like bug spray, sunscreen, deodorant, baby wipes, and other handy items to help you enjoy the day worry-free.

The couple has chosen to have a completely paper-free wedding — so just like the digital invitations, all RSVPs will be collected online. To RSVP, simply visit our wedding website and click the RSVP tab. Enter your name, confirm whether or not you’ll be attending, answer the questions, and click Submit. It’s quick, easy, and helps us stay organized while keeping things eco-friendly. Thank you! 💛 If you need to make changes to your RSVP after submitting, please contact the bride directly so we can update your respons

What if I’m feeling unwell before the event?

Answer

The bride has a weakened immune system, so if you’re feeling unwell — especially with a fever or cold-like symptoms — we kindly ask that you stay home. We will absolutely miss you, but your health (and hers) means more to us than anything. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep everyone safe.

Will there be dancing/music?

Answer

Yes — this is a celebration, after all! We’re planning a full-blown 4–5 hour reception with great music, plenty of dancing, delicious food, big laughs, and even better company.

Can I take photos/videos during the celebration?

Answer

Absolutely! Snap away and capture the memories. We just ask that you share your photos and videos with us afterward — there will be a QR code at each table that makes it super easy to upload and send them to the couple.
