Alex and Ali swiped right on each other back in May 2018. After talking for a few weeks he finally asked her out on a first date. Timing wasn't on Ali's side as her parents were in town visiting for Memorial Day. Finally June rolled around and we had our first date at Biaggi's.
We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas, NV to go hike and explore Death Valley, CA. First night of vacation stayed on the strip and experienced a pandemic state of Las Vegas. Alex had the ring and was ready to propose but after a crabby travel day didn't seem right to pop the question. Day two of vacation started with a drive out to Death Valley. After lunch they hiked Golden Canyon/Red Cathedral. Little did they know it was the perfect spot to pop the question standing under a red arch all by themselves. Ali was certain he was about to pop the question, at the same time Alex is wondering why the ring is all the way at the bottom of the backpack and how he can quickly grab it. Within a matter of minutes people start to arrive and the moment is ruined. Day three of vacation they drive to Ubehebe Crater in the morning. While hiking the crater, Ali is complaining in her mind the whole time about her thighs burning and wondering where the bathroom is. Alex is telling her how much he enjoys traveling and appreciates how she has brought him out of his shell. Little did he know she is drowning it out trying to survive the hike. They stop to take in the view and boom Alex is down on one knee popping the question and Ali is crying.
Morning of June 18th finally rolled around after a sleepless night before. We woke up and Ali screamed happy wedding day. Proceeded to read letters we wrote to each other and enjoyed the morning of soaking in each other's company before the hecticness of getting ready began. Ali and the mom's went for hair, make-up, and enjoyed the day of getting ready together. Alex and the dad's hung out around the house trying to keep entertained before going downtown for some beers. Around 4pm we drove downtown to the courthouse to meet our photographer where we had our first look. After some quick pictures we ran off to the courthouse to say "I Do" with our parents by our side as our witnesses. Truly the best day we could have asked for.
