We met on January 12, 2020.. the night before my very first semester of nursing school began. I was moving into a new apartment with my BSF, Bre, and my God brother, Moly, came to help us haul a washer and dryer. He asked his (then) new roommate (someone we all went to college with) to help since he had a truck. Funny thing is, we had crossed paths before without ever really meeting. We knew all the same people, had been in the same places, sometimes just minutes apart. I had seen him once on campus, and he had seen me at a party at the National Guard… but God, in His perfect timing, had a plan that only He could ordain. What started as help with a washer and dryer quickly turned into them helping move the entire apartment. After everything was unloaded, I drove them back to their car, all while typing a paper on my phone (because nursing school waits for no one 😂). I had “Playa Like You and Me” playing, and he was shocked that I even knew who they were… let alone that I was a fan. I dropped them off and headed home, knowing I only had a few short hours before I had to be up for class. The very next day, Moly texted me to say his roommate was interested. We started ‘rappin and that’s how it happened’😂. We haven’t spent a day apart since. Six years later, in September, we will stand before God, our families, and our loved ones, and choose each other… forever🖤.
