**NOTICE: For all out-of-state travelers, the Real ID or a valid passport will be required for domestic travel by May 2025. If you aren't registered, now's the time to do so! Whether it's by plane, train, or automobile, we hope your journey to Santa Barbara is a smooth ride & extended adventure of the weekend! See travel information below:

Travel Note

Santa Barbara Downtown Shuttle

Shuttle Details: Runs Fri/Sat/Sun from 10am to 6pm Arrives every 20 minutes $1/day, unlimited rides Nearby hotel pick-up is at the Cabrillo/Niños stop You can take this shuttle to the venue on Friday night if you plan ahead to be safe on time. You can also take this shuttle to explore various parts of the downtown & waterfront areas. Their map & stops are linked below. Woohoo for easy public transportation!

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)

SBA is located just 10 miles outside of downtown Santa Barbara (aka our home base for the weekend). We recommend searching for flights here before LAX to avoid subjecting yourself to an additional 2-hour drive and LA's infamous traffic scene. NOTE: Alaska, American Airlines, Delta, Southwest and United flies into SBA, with direct flights for our friends & family flying out of OAK, SFO, SEA, PDX, DFW & DEN.

Flight

Los Angeles Airport (LAX)

If you plan on flying into LAX for a potentially cheaper flight, we don't blame you! Prepare yourself for the added road trip from LA to Santa Barbara and enjoy the journey up California's coast.

Train

AMTRAK TRAIN

For our CA locals who are looking to turn the weekend into a mini-vacation, AMTRAK is a fun option to travel up the coast! You can expect a 3.5-5hr ride from Orange County stations to SBA station. Pro Tip: Go for Business Class, it's about $20 more and includes snacks/drinks!

Travel Note

Our Rec: Thursday Arrivals

IF you can spare an extra day off, we would love for you to join us in Santa Barbara on Thursday, August 21st. Selfishly, we hope to soak up every minute we can with you and invite you to make the most of the weekend with an extra day to enjoy the late-summer season on Santa Barbara's coast.

Travel Note

For the Day-Of Travelers

If you're planning to make the Santa Barbara trek on the day of our wedding, we kindly ask you to keep LA traffic in mind and plan on leaving with plenty of time to spare (think: 4+ hours before go-time!).

Travel Note

Cars: To Rent or Not to Rent

For those of you who are flying into the Santa Barbara area and debating about the need for a rental car, here's our advice: You should rent a car if... ...you want to explore beyond the downtown SB area ...you don't mind paying a parking fee at your hotel or parking on the street ...you're traveling with little ones who may need car seats You don't need to rent a car if... ...you're planning to stay local-- Downtown SB is very walkable! ...you're meeting up with someone who DOES have a car (sharing is caring) ...you're looking to explore via Uber/Lyft, trolley, or public transportation

For all the days along the way
