Our Story

GREG - CPA, Tooele Native, Outdoorsman, Aquarius, Hufflepuff EMILY - Recruiter, Bountiful Native, Traveler, Aries, Ravenclaw

One fateful evening, Greg downloaded a dating app. Within a few minutes, he saw a picture of Emily tenderly cradling a sandwich. He then proceeded to ask her out for turkey sandwiches at The Dodo.

A few days later, we both travelled to Europe (Greg had a work trip to France, Emily went on a girls’ trip to Norway). We took advantage of being in the time zone and texted prettttty much constantly.

A few weeks later we reunited in SLC. We felt an ease and a dorky happiness when we were together :) Little by little, we saw something special blooming...

We've had so many fun moments while dating: concerts, indoor skydiving, road trips. This picture was when we tried to paint llamas, but ended up with an Egyptian sloth & a deranged polar bear.

By summer of 2019, it was pretty clear this was L-O-V-E. This pic was taken on a trip to D.C. On the way there, we got chatting and were so goo-goo eyed that we missed one of our flights :-O

Another travel mishap worth noting: Emily had an incident going down a slide in St. George & broke her fibula (#LiveHardCore). Piggyback rides were a common thing throughout the fall and winter.

Flash forward to March! COVID hit & we took self-quarantine seriously. Well, until Greg broke the rules and crashed Emily's mini bday party. His gift to her was an engagement ring. Best birthday ever!
