Who would have thought we would meet again on Facebook? Well, that's how our story begins for the second time. We met first on a high school field trip to New York. The second meeting came via Facebook where we connected again. We had a bunch of "pre-dates" before we got to our actual FIRST DATE. We did things like a gym workout, happy hour, lobby chats, and other coincidental meet ups. Finally, the day for our actual first date came where we went to see 2 movies back to back. We didn't know where this would lead us. We never quite made it ‘official’ until St. Patrick's Day where we were confronted by Larry's mother. We both were in the kitchen making St. Patty's day drinks. She asked what we were doing and where this is going. We didn't know what she meant. We looked at each other and she asked, "Are ya'll dating yet or nah?". That day we made it official and we started our journey to be a great couple. (March 17, 2015) Trips to Bermuda, Iceland, Canada, Disney World, camping with and without the kids, theme parks, theatre plays, concerts, countless road trips, museums, stay-cations, and adventure just furthered our desire to make this our destiny to be with each other 4ever. We love being out and showing our love for each other. Our years of being there for each other are signs of our Love for each other.
The proposal was both scary and surprising at the same time. All of our closest friends and relatives witnessed Joy say yes to Larry on a knee asking for her hand in marriage. Larry asked in the Langston Hughes Presidential suite, in the same corridor of the Wardman Hotel, where we shared our first kiss. Marsha Ambrosius-Billups herself sang her hit song “Say Yes”. We even announced {to everyone's surprise} that we were expecting a baby and she would be a girl. The announcement of our family expanding and deciding to spend our lives together was a great and memorable day! Now here we are in 2020 planning a day to celebrate our union with each other in 2021. With our wedding date closing in we cannot be any more excited to become one. The Harris and Rollins family will now be #4ever321 See ya'll soon! We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
