Uber and Lyft are somewhat available in the area, so if you are unable to make the bus, that is an option as well. There is parking available at the venue, but please plan ahead. If you need to leave your vehicle overnight, it must be picked up by 7am Sunday morning due to another wedding coming in. We are aware that being ready by 2:30pm is early, however we would like as many guests as possible to take advantage of the shuttle since there will be an open bar available to you at the reception.
YES! After speaking with our venue, we are able to have our wedding as planned. Due to their restaurant license and their square footage, they are able to host weddings. We have invited 179 guests and so far, half have responded they will be in attendance. Tyler and I understand that this might be too many people to be around, and we totally understand. Of course we want to have our wedding as normal as possible and we also want everyone there, but we also understand the safety concerns people may have. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Masks are required and highly recommended. We are aware that per COVID policy, you do not have to wear a mask while eating or drinking. And while we are aware that drinking will be mostly throughout the night, we are asking guests to please keep in mind those guests who might be high risk.
Yes, there will be sanitation stations located throughout the venue. Also, upon arrival to the venue, there will be a temperature check station conducted by the venue.
For cocktail hour, the hors d'oeuvres will be passed around. They will not be at a station for guests to pick from. For dinner, it is a served buffet line where the catering company will serve you what you would like from the buffet. Drinks will not be served and must go to the bar to order.
Our guest list is currently at the original number. We are aware of the current gathering restrictions Virginia has and we are continuing to monitor. We are wanting all of our loved ones there to celebrate our special day. However, our guest list may need to be cut down to follow the state guidelines. If our guest list is altered, we will be sure to let EVERYONE know as soon as we know anything. You can also continue to check back to our website as we will continue to update with any information we have. Our venue and our day-of-coordinator are remaining positive that our gathering numbers will rise by April, which is keeping us hopeful as well.
Our ceremony will be an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting). Our reception will be held indoors in the 300+ guest size barn. With our guest count, there will be PLENTY of room and social distancing happening. Should you be high risk or uncomfortable with the reception being indoors, and only wish to attend the ceremony, please ensure you RSVP accordingly. This will ensure we have enough seats for everyone who plans to attend one or the other or both events.
