We met in 4th grade. Corinne was the cute red head (angry about freezers). While Derick was an ADHD filled young boy. Derick had always thought girls had cooties, thanks to his sister. Corrine was too busy with her activities and AIM, while Derick was discovering PlayStation, Nintendo and Summer math workbooks. Dericks feeling continued to grow and developed into a crush through middle school and high school. Corinne couldn't see him because she refused to wear her glasses. They worked at Walmart together, had mutual friends and even took French class together but still Dericks's feelings were never reciprocated. Even with a leap of faith in college Derick asked Corinne out...But she said no. It wasn't until he moved to NYC and grew out his hair that Corinne put on her glasses and their love story began.

April 8th 2024, a Solar Eclipse. Derick had concocted a plan to purpose to Corinne on a solar Eclipse during the Diamond Ring effect. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans and the entre sky was overcast. Jumping quick to plan B. After the Eclipse he pulled everyone together for a group photo. Down on one knee Derick had to clarify "this is not a bit" while asking her to marry him. Corinne remained shocked so he repeated "I am not joking" Smiling, Corinne replied YES! Everyone cheered and congratulated them with hugs.
