Downtown Denver
Downtown Denver is filled with cool and eclectic shops, eateries, and hotspots. Check out Union Station (17th and Wynkoop), Larimer Square (14th and Larimer), and the Dairy Block (18th and Wazee) to scope out local stores, restaurants, and bars. Because the holidays will be right around the corner, Denver will likely put their landmarks on display with colorful lights - check out the Zoo, the Botanic Gardens, Union Station, and the City and County Building.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater
Weather permitting, head to Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater for a day of hiking and breathtaking scenery!
Our Favorite Breweries!
Feeling like brewery hopping? There are several delicious breweries in RiNo (north Denver), such as Epic, O'Dell, and Our Mutual Friend. If you are feeling brave, head south to Platt Park Brewery where Dana and Chris play trivia with their families on Tuesdays and enjoy their favorite Cream Ale (on Nitro!) and chow down on Park Burger. Or zip east to Station 26 to enjoy a Tangerine Cream Ale in the dog-friendly historic firehouse-turned-brewery (plus, they have a food truck!) Downtown Estes Park
Zip down Downtown Estes Park for a slew of fun shops and stores, restaurants, and delicious coffee and candy joints! Pop into Claire's on the Park for a delicious brunch, and if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to scope out Laura's Fine Candies. If you're looking to try local brews or wine, check out Rock Cut Brewery and Snowy Peaks Winery!
The Stanley Hotel
Chris and Dana have spent many cocktail hours, meals, and even a few nights in this rustic and historic hotel! Be sure to check out their famous Whiskey Bar!
Rocky Mountain National Park
Depending on the season and weather, RMNP is a great drive with beautiful scenery to soak up the Colorado landscape.
Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center
There are a handful of trailheads and paved roads that are near Wild Basin Lodge. Weather permitting, enjoy a nice hike or walk along the highways that show off Long's Peak and Mount Meeker.
