Our Story

Michael and Topaze first met in the early 1990s at a teenage party at the Roxbury YMCA, where an instant connection sparked between them. They stayed in touch for a couple of years before life took them in different directions. More than 30 years later, fate brought them back together. Since reconnecting, they've been learning to love each other as adults and growing stronger as a couple. This year alone has been filled with meaningful milestones: they celebrated 5 years together, purchased their first home on March 6, 2024, got engaged on November 11, 2024, and will commit to forever in front of their family and friends on August 22, 2026. This love was destined to be, and they're excited about the journey ahead.

Yes, absolutely! We'd love for you to bring a plus one. When you receive your invitation, please indicate their attendance through the RSVP option if available. If you don't see that option, simply let us know directly so we can add them to our guest list.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony begins at 5:30 PM. We kindly ask that you arrive by 5:00 PM to allow time to find a seat and get comfortable.

Do you have a wedding registry?

We're registered on Amazon for our Bridal Shower, and we've also curated a selection of items here on Zola. That said, we truly appreciate monetary gifts for the wedding—they mean the world to us.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes! We're hosting a Bridal Shower "I DO BBQ" in our backyard on July 25th, 2026. If you'd like to join us, please let the couple know. The celebration begins at 3pm and will feature a DJ, delicious food, and wonderful company.
