Three words...three little words that my dad chose to describe Heath when being peppered with questions from my sisters who had yet to meet him. What were those three words? In true testament to my dad’s character and his ability to create a lighthearted amalgam of humor and honesty, he responded with only three words "handsome, intelligent farmer.” Heath and I still laugh about this! About the time we were wrapping up yet another round of belly laughing and wheezes, I came to a realization. Not only had my dad perfectly summarized Heath, but he also took the time to find out who he was beyond those three words. The rest of my close-knit family followed suit (thankfully). Heath loves the people I love and those who love me! So, what does chocolate covered peanuts have to do with the story of us? It's easy to see that both Heath and myself have strategically structured our lives and relationship with family being a steadfast pillar in our foundation. It's only fitting that on the day in which I was introduced to Heath's family, I found my late Poppy's favorite snack in a store for the first time since his passing. This chance find served as the confirmation I needed to know I had found my person in a handsome, intelligent farmer. Best of all, not only had Heath won me over that day but with that sweet treat in tow, he garnered the respect of the woman I owe everything to, my mom. -- Caitie We can't wait to spend our special day celebrating with all of our favorite people!
