Question

What does All-Inclusive mean?

Answer

Everything is included for one price - an all-inclusive vacation is a vacation that includes all the essentials in the booking price. In addition to your room, food, drinks, activities, and entertainment are included, without having to pay extra for it. There are no extra expenses once you arrive unless you want a souvenir or you want to tip a server a few dollars for good service.

Question

How many bars are there?

7 bars serve limitless cocktails, drinks and chilled beer. Grab a drink by the beach and enjoy stunning views or swim up to the in-pool bar.

Question

Do I need to bring a beach towel?

Answer

No! The resort will have clean pool and beach towels available every day for you so use that extra room in your suitcase to pack something else :)

Question

Do I need a jacket or sweatshirt?

Answer

Wind, rain and even tropical storms can be a contender at the beach. Be prepared with a light sweater, light jacket, wind breaker and something with a hood. You’d rather be prepared and warm, than wishing you didn’t leave that cardigan back in your closet at home!

Question

What should I bring with me?

Answer

Before you board the plane to your sunny beach destination, take the time to get your important documents in order. Below is a list of essential travel documents to bring with you on your all-inclusive trip. Keep them in a folder for easy access at the airport or on the plane: Passport Insurance Card Travel Insurance SWIMSUIT Depending on what kind of person you are will dictate how many swimsuits you bring. Travel Tip: Always rinse out your bathing suit after swimming in the ocean to wash off the salt. This will preserve the elastic and lifetime of your favorite outfit! SUN SHIRT This might sound ridiculous to you, but a sun shirt can be one of the best things you pack! One day of Caribbean sun could result in a catastrophic sun burn. Truly, the last thing you would want on a well-deserved vacation! A sun shirt is made of ultra-light material to protect you from UV rays to prevent sun stroke and heat exhaustion. SUNSCREEN Sunscreen is a non-negotiable for any sunny beach destination. It is imperative that you protect your skin from UVA and UVB radiation. Bringing both face and body sunscreen between 30 and 50 SPF will ensure you protect your skin’s health while on vacation ZIPLOC Good quality ZipLoc bags are irreplaceable for the beach. They provide instant protection from sand and water and leakage of products. Some of most important items to zip up are sunscreen, lip balm, phones and money. HAT Wearing a hat at the beach will save your scalp, ears and face from that unwanted sun damage. CREDIT CARD Consider which of your credit cards has the lowest surcharge for foreign currency conversions. Also, some cards come with trip interruption and cancellation insurance. Most resorts will require a credit card on file when it comes to booking your accommodation so you won’t want to forget it. CASH US dollars is the most preferred currency. Most all-inclusive resorts would prefer US dollars if you are paying in cash or wanting to leave tips

Question

I was told I can get a discount to the spa if I listen to the Dreams Unlimited presentation

Answer

NO, I repeat NO...run, don't walk, away from these people. They will be nice and offer you EVERYTHING but DO NOT DO IT! It is a total time suck, they say it is an hour but ends up being 4 hours then they follow you around the resort. Avoid The Timeshare And Club Presentations!!!! If it sounds too good to be free, then it likely is. While a $100 gift card to the spa might seem alluring for an hour and a half presentation on a timeshare, it is expected that participants consider the offer seriously. In some cases, the selective salesmanship behind these offers is just not worth the stress of trying to get out of it. Especially when that hour and a half could be spent relaxing on the beach! Pro Tip: Opt for researching timeshares on one's own time, and avoid anything that comes with 'free' perks or incentives.

Question

Can I ask for more?

Answer

Heck yes! If it’s your first time at an all inclusive resort, it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that you can have whatever you want (when it comes to food and drink). While you can always go for more food at the buffet, you can ask for more food at the a la carte restaurants, too. Even though they have set menus with appetizers, entrees and desserts to choose from, you’re technically not limited to just one of each. I’m not encouraging anyone to be wasteful or to overindulge, but if you can’t decide between two desserts, you could ask for them both. Or if you’re trying to increase your protein intake, you can ask for extra or double meat with your entrée. Some of the very inexpensive resorts may not allow this, so just be aware and ask if you’re not sure. When ordering drinks you can ask to have them made as strong or as weak as you like!

Question

How and What to Tip at All Inclusive Resorts

Answer

It is not required but appreciated to tip for great service. Bartenders, servers, housekeeping, bell hop and anyone who helps you out deserves a tip. For tipping housekeeping at an all inclusive, I usually leave the equivalent of 5 to 10 US dollars after the first day. This should help ensure you get excellent housekeeping service for your stay. It is standard to tip about $1 US dollar per drink for bartenders and pool servers at all inclusive resorts. This helps them remember you and keeps the drinks flowing. Plus, if the resort is busy and you’ve been tipping well, chances are your bartender will see that you’re coming in for another drink and will make yours before others who didn’t tip. If anyone helps you with your luggage, about $1 US dollar per bag is standard depending how many bags you have and how heavy they are.

Question

Hacks for Better Drinks at the Resort

Answer

Types of Drinks you Can Order All alcoholic drinks are included – beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and slushie-frozen drinks. If you have a certain brand of liquor that you prefer, make sure you ask for it. The bartender may have it on hand. (They’re more likely to have it on hand if you tip them well, too!) Ice on the Side When you’re sitting poolside or at the beach and are having drinks served to you, you can ask for your ice on the side. Since it’s going to be hot out, the ice gets pretty melty by the time your drink gets to you. If you ask for it on the side, you can pour out what’s melted and then place the rest in your drink. No watered down drink!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

I’m a chronic overpacker. Too often, I’ll tuck one more shirt or pair of shoes into my packed bag “just in case,” and then I end up bringing home clothes that I hadn’t worn. Bottom Line: There’s no reason to wear a different bathing suit or evening outfit every day on vacation. Having fewer items to keep track of, and lighter luggage to cart around, just makes traveling simpler, in my book. Especially at an all-inclusive resort, where days are mostly spent at the pool or beach, and dinner is a classy affair (be sure to confirm any dress code before you arrive), just a few outfits to mix and match — and re-wear — will do nicely!

Question

What if I forgot something or run out of sunscreen?

Answer

Have no fear! The resort has a gift shop where you can purchase first aid items, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, swimsuits, etc. But it can be costly.

Question

What about my valuables?

Answer

Keep your valuables safe. From passports to tablets, each of us travels with items that we’d be lost without. Most all-inclusive hotels offer small in-room safes (not always large enough for a laptop) and some have safes you can rent out at the front desk. The moment you arrive in your room, lock away your passports and travel documents because you won’t be needing them again until you depart. I also use the in-room safe for phones and jewelry…but leave any expensive jewelry at home!

Question

I have a few hours after I have to check out for my flight before I leave for the airport, what do I do?

Answer

Take Advantage of the Hospitality Suite If you have a late flight on the day you are leaving, you can check-out and still use the hotel amenities for the day. The hotel will hold you bags while you enjoy your last hours of pool time, drinks and the buffets. When you’re ready to depart, most resorts have a private hospitality suite with a bathroom, shower and changing area so you can freshen up before heading to the airport. I recommend asking about this a day or two before your departure. Some resorts require you to reserve the hospitality suite in advance.

Question

What should I wear to the beach wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Dress pants or chinos with a button-down or collared shirt are the most frequent beach wedding attire for men. Flowy maxi and midi dresses are common beach wedding outfits for women, but jumpsuits, a romper or dressy separates are also appropriate choices. When it comes to accessories, feel free to have some fun. A beach wedding is a great opportunity to wear a patterned tie or colorful statement earrings. It's also perfectly acceptable to pack nice sunglasses or a dressy hat for an outdoor ceremony or reception.

Question

Is there duty free shopping in the Punta Cana airport?

Answer

Duty Free in the Dominican Republic is allowed on arrival and departure. All the island's airports have an arrivals store in the baggage claim area where you can buy the usual range of liquors, tobaccos, perfumes, cosmetics and gifts. Prices in all these airport stores are based on US Dollars, so any discount you expect very much depends on your home country and the exchange rate at the time of travel.

Question

How long is the drive from Punta Cana airport to Dreams Macao Resort?

Answer

34 minutes (35.3 km)

Question

What do I need to know about Punta Cana Airport?

Answer

Punta Cana Airport is beautiful. The Airport was designed with open-sided terminals and a thatched roof to reference the local tradition of outdoor living. The result is a light and airy space that’s a pleasure to travel through. If you just can’t wait to tap into that laidback vibe then good news – your relaxed vacation starts right here.

Question

How long is the wait to get thru customs at Punta Cana Airport?

Answer

One of the most common questions we get from travelers visiting Punta Cana is how long lines at Punta Cana airport during the high season are. The truth is lines can be 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on season and day of the week. High season starts when the northern hemisphere starts to get cold (November) and ends just after spring break, along with high occupancy of resorts and long lines at the airport. There’s good news to solve the long lines at Punta Cana airport: you can buy VIP Fast Track; a service rarely offered in larger airports around the world but that is very popular especially after COVID. In addition to high season, if you add the most popular days to travel it can really get busy. Longer lines at Punta Cana airport are seen also between Fridays and Sundays, which are the days that most passengers decide to fly in and out of Punta Cana Airport.

Question

Tips for Getting through Passport Control Faster

Answer

When your plane lands on the tarmac, you’ll want to get through the airport as quickly and efficiently as possible so you can begin your vacation. One thing you can do when booking your flight is to select a seat that’s as far forward on the plane as possible. That way, you’ll be more likely to reach passport control ahead of your fellow passengers and not find yourself at the back of a queue. IMMIGRATION On the plane, your stewardesses will have given you forms to fill out for the immigration process. Make sure you have filled out completely the immigration/customs immigration to you on the flight. Have your Immigration cards and passports in hand when you approach the immigration booth. This will make things go much quicker. Depending on how many other flights arrive at the same time as yours, the wait to get through immigration could take a while. A Customs officer will stamp your passport and take one of your forms. Getting Your Bags After Your Flight to Punta Cana As an arriving passenger, you’ll land at one of Punta Cana Airport’s two terminals, A or B. Unless you’ve traveled with cabin bags only, as soon as you’ve cleared immigration you’ll need the baggage reclaim hall. Each terminal has its own series of baggage reclaim belts, so take a look at the screens to work out where your luggage will appear. Nearby, you’ll find foreign exchange kiosks, ATMs, taxis, car rental desks, and bathrooms. If you’re lucky, you’ll be greeted by a live band. They’ll get you in the mood for a tropical vacation with some foot-tapping merengue tunes.

Question

How Can VIP Fast Track help me avoid long lines at Punta Cana Airport?

Answer

Fast-Track service allows you to skip lines (immigration and customs) while you wait in an air-conditioned room with snacks and drinks, while airport staff does all the paperwork and even gets your bags. https://dominicanairportfasttrack.do That’s right! They assign someone to go down to baggage claim and get your bags, bring it back to the VIP room and escort you to your transfer in a private driveway.

Question

What can I bring back from the Caribbean?

Answer

As a general rule, travelers to Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI) countries are allowed a $800 duty-free exemption on their return to the United States. You may include two liters of alcoholic beverages with this $800 exemption, as long as one of the liters was produced in one of the CBI countries. All U.S. Citizens traveling to the Caribbean will be required to present a passport before boarding an outbound plane.

Question

When do you need to know if I am attending?

Answer

We would love to know as soon as possible as April 23, 2023 will be here before we know it but we realize this is a big expense that requires planning. We need to know final numbers on who is attending by March 17, 2023

Question

How much do I have to pay now?

Answer

The travel agent will let you know what the deposit is for your vacation package.

Question

How much will it cost?

Answer

We are working with a travel agent to get everyone the best prices! Since guests are coming from all over with families of different sizes, there is not a set per person price.
