Why Ireland?

Answer

Katerina's family is from Killybegs in County Donegal, where much of her family still lives today. We couldn’t imagine a more meaningful place to bring everyone together. We chose nearby Sligo because it’s a bit easier for our American guests. If you have the time, we highly recommend exploring Donegal.

Do I need a passport to travel to Ireland?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required. We recommend ensuring your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Dublin Airport (DUB) or Shannon Airport (SNN) depending on your travel plans.

How do I get to Sligo from the airport?

Guests can rent a car, take a train or bus from Dublin, or arrange a taxi/private transfer. See the travel tab for more information!

Where should we stay?

We recommend staying in Sligo Town, where we will have hotel options with a discounted rate. Transportation will be available to and from the venue. More details to come!

Can we make a trip out of this?

Answer

Absolutely! Sligo is a beautiful coastal town on the west coast of Ireland with incredible scenery, beaches, and pubs. We’d highly recommend making a long weekend out of it. Be sure to visit our Things to Do tab for some local recommendations, and feel free to reach out to us for suggestions!
