Our story began several years ago with a simple friendship. Although we didn’t see or speak to each other often, every interaction was pleasant, easy, and genuine. Life eventually took us in different directions, and for a time we remained acquaintances connected by mutual respect. Years later, David reached out to inquire about some T-shirt designs. What started and ended as a business conversation later became something much more meaningful. We were both navigating transitional seasons in our lives, and our conversations became a source of encouragement, comfort, and healing. We found ourselves talking about life, dreams, challenges, and possibilities. Before long, those conversations became something we both looked forward to. Eventually, our conversations led to a breakfast date. Then a lunch date. Later on, a dinner date. As our friendship deepened, so did our connection. After my moving to Florida, we decided a few more dinner dates were in order, followed by concerts, spontaneous adventures, and countless conversations that stretched far beyond the surface. Through every shared meal, every laugh, every thoughtful discussion, and every meeting of the minds, we discovered something special…we simply enjoyed spending time together. Ultimately, what began as friendship grew into partnership, and partnership grew into love. On March 20, 2026, David planned a beautiful surprise proposal surrounded by some of the people who mean the most to us, to include my 3 children, 3 of my grandchildren, and a few of my closest friends in person and virtually. It was a moment filled with love, joy, and the support of some family and friends who had witnessed and been a part of pieces of our journey. Today, we are grateful for every conversation, every date, every unexpected turn, and every step that brought us here. What started as friendship has become a lifelong commitment, and we are excited to spend the rest of our lives together—side by side, as a team and as husband and wife.
