The Beginning of Our Love Story

First comes Prom, then comes Marriage

Our story began in a high school classroom — somewhere between shared glances, silly conversations, and the ordinary rhythm of teenage life. We were in 10th and 11th grade when we first met, unaware that one ordinary class would quietly change the course of our lives. That year, Nathan asked Nikki to his very first prom. It felt like a simple moment at the time, but looking back, it was the beginning of everything. From May 10, 2015 on, we truly never left each other’s side. Just a few weeks later, on May 28, 2015, we made it official — not realizing we were beginning a love story that would span over a decade. We grew up together. Through every season of life — the exciting, the uncertain, the joyful, and the challenging — we have chosen each other again and again. What started as young love has grown into something steady, deep, and unwavering. Over the past eleven years, we’ve built more than a relationship; we’ve built a foundation of friendship, trust, laughter, and unconditional support. From teenagers figuring out who we were to adults building a life together, we’ve witnessed every version of each other — and loved each other through it all. Eleven years later, our story is no longer about prom dates or high school hallways. It’s about building a future, creating a home, and continuing to grow — side by side. We are so grateful for every chapter that brought us here, and we cannot wait to celebrate this next one surrounded by the people who have loved and supported us along the way. 🤍

The Proposal

December 20, 2025

After eleven years of building our love and dreaming about the future, Nathan finally asked the next big question. What was meant to be a weekend birthday trip to celebrate Nathan in Washington, D.C., became the beginning of forever for us. We spent the day wandering through holiday markets, sharing warm treats, and soaking in the magic of the city dressed in Christmas lights. That evening, beneath the glow of the lights by the reflection pool, Nathan asked the question that changed everything. In a moment that felt both surreal and perfectly us, Nathan got down on one knee — and of course, she said yes. Afterwards, we continued the celebration in a way that felt deeply personal and meaningful. We created a custom perfume together — a scent we’ll wear during our wedding celebrations — so that every time we catch that fragrance, we’ll be reminded of the night our next chapter began. It was the most beautiful surprise, and the most perfect beginning to forever. 🤍
