Sabrina came to the Knoxville area to work as a travel nurse. Fate (and the app Hinge) brought her and Corey together, and in true Corey fashion, he had a dinner reservation lined up that very first weekend. But when we saw that the Northern Lights might be visible in Tennessee, we couldn’t resist changing plans (classic Sabrina move). We grabbed sushi from Nama downtown, then drove out to Corey’s barn lot in the middle of nowhere to chase the lights. Yes—it was freezing. No—we didn’t see the lights. But we did get our first glimpse of something even better. ✨ And of course, a special shoutout to Stephanie for tracking Sabrina’s location the whole time to make sure Corey wasn’t a crazy person 🩷

For our anniversary, Corey planned a special trip to the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. But he wasn’t planning alone—he secretly teamed up with one of Sabrina’s best friends, Ellie, to help make the weekend unforgettable. On a hot July day, after lathering up with sunscreen, we wandered down to the Biltmore gardens. Corey insisted that the roses looked better “on the other side”—but really, he just knew it would be quieter there. When it came time for a picture, Sabrina thought Corey was reaching for more sunscreen… but instead, he dropped to one knee. We both cried, Sabrina said yes, and Ellie was right there to celebrate the very beginning of our forever.
