Nathan and Julia met through Julia’s cousin, who is also one of Nathan’s best friend, Lydia. It was Saint Patrick’s day weekend, and they both were going to be in Morris, MN. Lydia had the plan to set them up! They had an instant connection but they both were not looking to be in a relationship! Fast forward to Christmas Eve 2021, Julia was living in Colorado and was home for Christmas. Nathan reached out to Julia, and that is when Julia knew she wanted to meet up with Nathan and see if they still had that connection. They went on their first date, while Julia was home, to the Ultimate Sports Bar & Grill and knew they had to keep seeing each other. Nathan traveled out to Colorado soon after Julia got back home, and told her he wanted to give the long distance a try! After traveling back and forth to see each other, Julia decided she wanted to move back home to start their life together. Julia and Nathan have been inseparable ever since!

Nathan took Julia on a hike to Whitewater State Park since they loved going on hikes in Colorado together. They hiked up 100 stairs to get to this gorgeous overlook, where they sat down on a bench to enjoy to view. Nathan told Julia he wanted to take a picture of her since the the site was pretty! As Julia was turning around, Nathan got down on one knee and asked “Will you Marry Me?” It was an instant YES!
