How we met

It had to be fate...Tyler works for Baker Group as an HVAC service technician and Jenn works for Blank Children's Hospital as a pediatric nurse. As fate would have it, they are both contracted by West Des Moines Community Schools. It was a warm start to the school year and one of the AC units at Walnut Creek Campus, Jenn's home school, could not keep up. Tyler was called in to fix the unit...which happened to be located in Jenn's nurses office. They hit it off! Jenn was so impressed by Tyler's love of family. His grandma Anne had just passed away and Jenn was automatically drawn to his loyalty and love for his grandma. She could tell family came first with him. Tyler found Jenn's laugh to be contagious and loved to see her smile each time he entered the room. They were an unlikely pair. Tyler was younger, Jenn was older. Tyler was a city boy, Jenn grew up a small town girl. Tyler was the life of the party, Jenn was settled in the suburbs with her two sons. Somehow it just worked. Tyler drew Jenn out of her shell, Jenn settled Tyler down. They fell, it was the love they weren't looking for, but truly meant to be!

The Proposal

02.24.21

Trent almost spilled the beans...he told Jenn around Valentine's Day that "Tyler told me a secret, but I can't tell!". Tyler popped the question 10 days later in Clearwater Beach, Florida on a catamaran. The captain pulled the boat up to Caladesi Island and he got down on one knee. It was the best day ever! It could not have been more perfect- the weather, the water, the radio playing Fleetwood Mac, and the people we love most in the world.

Covid-19

Hi everyone! We are continuing to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic. We realize it is in constant flux and we want to keep our loved ones safe. At this time, we are proceeding with our ceremony and reception as planned. If any of our plans change, we will be in touch. Please feel free to wear a mask if you would like. If the weather permits we will have our ceremony outside. There is also a loft space at our venue where you can socially distance if you would like. As Covid-19 cases rise, please make the decision to come only if you feel comfortable and save. If you are not feeling well, please remain home, we will completely understand! Thank you for love and patience as we navigate these crazy times!

For all the days along the way
