What is the dress code?

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive between a half hour to 45 minutes before the ceremony start time. There will be a prelude, so enjoy the music, grab your seat and let's get this party started as scheduled!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Cocktail hour! Head straight to the reception area for hors d'oeuvre and drinks.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors? What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Weather pending, the ceremony will take place outdoors. Lancaster's October weather can range anywhere from 50-80 degrees. Please pack accordingly! We also have a cozy indoor Plan B, if weather becomes too much of a risk. Reception will definitely take place indoors! The lodge is climate controlled and there will be a complimentary coat check. https://historicashlandevents.com/

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes, we will have a shuttle bus service that will pickup/drop off at the Lancaster Arts Hotel & Heritage Hotel locations. The bus can seat up to 48 guests, so please reach out if you plan to use this transportation and we will add your name to the list! Lancaster also offers taxi services where you can call ahead of time and schedule round trip: Unique Cab: (717) 669-2574 https://uniquecablancasterpa.com/ Lancaster Express Taxi: (717) 390-1000 https://lancasterexpresstaxi.com/ Although Lancaster does have UBER, there are not many cars. Because everyone has to leave the premise of Historic Ashland by 11pm at the latest, please arrange for your rides well in advance so nobody is stuck without a way back to their hotels. *Historic Ashland also offers free parking! Just please drink responsibly*

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Yes, Historic Ashland offers free parking. They also will have staffed golf carts for guests needing assistance to the ceremony and reception areas. Please note that no vehicles are to be left overnight on the parking lot due to liability and safety.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Do I need to mail back my RSVP card or can I do it online?

Answer

Guests can RSVP by mail or online. If you plan on also using the shuttle bus service, be sure to RSVP for that as well. Please RSVP by September 10th!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. You can tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #KaneYouFeelTheLove2021 FOR THE CEREMONY: We will have an unplugged ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and videographer, so please turn off any phones/cameras and enjoy the moment with us!
