"He Wendt There"

Here it goes.. Starting in 2013 after I graduated high school I started working at a local coffee stand called Capital Perks Espresso. Austin and his dad have always been regulars! Working at the stand there are always those customers that just want you to make their coffee and get out quick. Austin always came through, asked me how I was, what I was doing over the weekend or bring up any little thing to just talk. He always stood out. Then, one day I come to find out from my good friend (Kenzy) that he thought of me as his "Great White Buffalo" from the movie Hot Tub Time Machine! His dream girl in other words! September 30th, 2017 everything changed when Austin got asked by Makenzy to meet us downtown at a bar. Us girls called him at around midnight when he was already in bed and had his EMT recertification test early in the am. He wasn't going to come down but then he heard the words "Kayla is here". And well..he got out of bed and came down. If you know me, you know that I love love Star Wars. Ever since I was little I grew up around Star Wars all because of my dad. Little did I know that he loved Star Wars as well and had Star Wars tattoo on his arm. We talked all night until the bar closed and I got my own ride home in an Uber without saying bye. This man went out of his way to make sure I made it home okay by messaging me on instagram. YES, he did slide into my DM's. The next morning I remember telling my mom I couldn't stop thinking about him.. We talked ALOT, went on several dates and spent lots of time together between then and October 31st when he asked me if I would be his girlfriend! We dated, had many laughs, went to Watershed music festival two years in a row, I took him to Disneyland for the first time, he watched me cry over sappy movies and he loves wine all because of ME now. October 21st, 2019 he asked me to be his forever.. ON his birthday and in my favorite place EVER...Disneyland. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth afterall!
