We met at a training weekend for Emler Swim School. We started flirting after we realized we both went to the University of Texas at Arlington. Everyone got into the pool, but we always ended up in the deep end of the pool when the instructors demonstrated a new swimming technique. Klayton realized that I was struggling to tread water, and offered me his shoulder to hang on to. The rest was history!
We were in Amsterdam, celebrating my recent college graduation. Klayton had gotten reservations at The Blue Pepper, which had a prefixed 5 course menu. We sat and talked for hours, and eventually started playing a game where we'd ask questions like "Who do you think says sorry first" or "Who do you think spends the most time on Facebook". Finally dessert had been served and the champagne arrived. Klayton got down on one knee and asked, "Who wants to be married more? You or me?"
