Sam and Iggy spent years in overlapping friend groups, growing closer with every sporadic event and adventure. Through many meaningful interactions and quality time spent around each other, their personal bond was solidified. Every year, Sam typically hosts a costume party for her October birthday, and she personally invited him to her 'out of this world' space themed party in 2024. He had taken this opportunity to really go all out with his DIY space cowboy outfit, which truly impressed her. They would say that this was the night that shifted their feelings in a new direction. Over the next few weeks, they'd jump at any chance to see each other at social gatherings. He'd be an extra for a movie she had been working on; she'd tag along to a metal show of a band that she knew nothing of. Their friends started to catch on when they were spotted in their own world chatting it up in the corner of a crowded bar during a group outing on Halloween night. After even more meaningful conversation and time together their feelings grew exponentially within the next week. There was no denying the sparks they both were feeling. Shortly there after, Iggy was meant to return to work and rejoin the ship but their connection continued to grow with daily video chatting for hours through the following months. One fateful night, Sam excitedly spoke of an ongoing meteor shower and about how she was worried the light pollution wouldn’t allow her to experience it to the fullest. Iggy suggested they rendezvous in the dark zone to watch the stars together. Sam, thrilled and romanced by the idea, agreed. They each traveled two hours; her from Pembroke Pines; him from Tampa. They met in Sebring where they were finally brought together as more than friends. Weeks later, when he had finally come home to her, they would make their relationship official on 12/21/2024. Long story short, after a year of sharing love and laughter; hard conversations; tears of sorrow and joy; uplifting words and actions; they find themselves with only one conclusion - when you know, you know!
