LaScala's Birra
Within walking distance of the hotel (~15-20 minutes), and overlooks the Cooper River. Serves lunch, dinner, and drinks (recommend the lavender martini). Brunch is only served on Sundays.
Devil's Creek Brewery
The brewery always has twelve beers on tap, ranging in styles from Kolsch to Russian Imperial Stout. They are known for their seasonal beers... tis the season! They do not sell food in the brewery, but you may bring your own food or use your phone and order delivery to your table.
Amy's Omelette House
Quick drive from the hotel. Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is very popular during the weekend, so plan accordingly.
Donkey's Place
Not your traditional Philly cheesesteak, but Anthony Bourdain dined here and declared that "the best cheesesteak in the area might well come from New Jersey"! Established in 1943, and is available for take out, pick ups, and curbside.
Adventure Aquarium
The Aquarium is home to the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast, including the only great hammerhead shark on exhibit in the United States, the only aquarium in the world to exhibit hippos, one of only six facilities in the US to have Little Blue penguins as permanent residents and exhibits the longest Shark Bridge in the world, a unique V-shaped rope suspension bridge just inches over Shark Realm.
Winterfest Ice Skating Rink At Cooper River Park
A winter wonderland with an ice skating rink, outdoor games, tasty treats, and a heated tent with arcade games. Located right across the street from the hotel on the Park Boulevard side. Adults ages 12-65: $8.50; Seniors ages 65+: $5.50; Veterans (Must present Veterans ID card): $5.50; Skate Rental: $5.50 Fridays: 5 PM – 10 PM Saturdays: 12 PM – 10 PM Sundays: 12 PM – 9PM
