Question

What are your COVID guidelines?

Answer

We ask that all guests are vaccinated and we ask that you test negative to a COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Thank you in advance for respecting this request and preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Will there be a virtual option if I can't attend in person?

Answer

No, but we completely understand if you're not able to make it and we look forward to finding another time to be together soon.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

Answer

We would love for guests to stay onsite to join us for a weekend of mingling and fun. To make your reservation, call Bahia at 800-576-4229 and mention the Schrimmer-Brown wedding for a 15% discount. You’re welcome to stay at other lodging options if you prefer.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kiddos are welcome at all events. Please include them in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Where will the events take place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place onsite at Bahia’s gardens. The reception will continue on the water of Mission Bay on Bahia’s sternwheeler. There will be a ~1 hour cruise during dinner and the reception will continue while the boat is docked at Bahia. Aside from the cruising time, you’re welcome to come and go as you need.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Self-parking is available at Bahia, though it’s a short (~20 min) Lyft ride from the airport. We encourage anyone staying offsite to make use of rideshare transportation options following the reception.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have vegetarian and gluten-free (non-vegetarian) options. Please let us know of any additional dietary allergies and preferences. We will do our best to accommodate and let you know if we cannot.

Can I bring a gift?

Answer

While we appreciate the sentiment, we will be traveling by Seemor (our sprinter van) and won't have space for any additional items. We are fortunate to have everything we need and encourage you to donate to a nonprofit of your choosing (or ours - see our registry for ideas).

Can I bring additional guests?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

What should I pack?

Answer

Events will be held both indoors and outdoors. San Diego weather in November is likely to be foggy in the mornings, chilly in the evenings, and sunny midday. Bring a bathing suit (you can swim at the pool, hot tub, Mission Bay, or nearby beach) and layers.
