FAQs

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! We will have appetizers during cocktail hour and a lovely buffet-style spread for dinner, Although we’ll feed you during the wedding, you’ll need to bring your own food for the weekend if you’re planning on camping.

Question

Will there be booze?

Answer

We’ll have a few kegs and bottles with a primitive serve-yourself bar for the guests who drink to enjoy. Please, feel free to BYOB!

Question

What do I do if I want to camp?

Answer

Bring your stuff and set up! The more the merrier. Have everything set up and settled in before 2pm on the wedding day.

Question

Dress Code?

Answer

Think comfortable, eclectic, and autumn-kissed. This is an outdoor campground wedding in October, so layers are lovely and practicality is encouraged. Flowy dresses, cozy knits, boots, corduroy, velvet, folk details, and relaxed suiting all fit right in. Fall colors, texture, and personal flair are very welcome. We’ll be celebrating on grass, under the trees, and yes—using porta-potties. So maybe skip anything that requires a spotter, a corset crank, or advanced yoga to manage. 😉 Shoe note: the ground is natural and uneven—boots, flats, sturdy heels, or shoes you don’t mind dancing and wandering in are your best friends. Stilettos may have an existential crisis out here, so the boogie shoes will have to suffice. Most importantly, wear something you feel beautiful, comfortable, and fully yourself in—something you can laugh, dance, stay warm, and fall a little more in love in. 🍂✨ Appalachian folk meets witchy hippie meets romantic campground magic.

Question

Are there really only porta-potties?

Answer

Yes, please plan attire accordingly. They’re not the awful, stinky, festival wookdumps you’re used to- they’re nice and clean and stocked with tissue and sanitizer! There are two pit toilets on-site as well.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

139 Beech Run Rd is the address. There will be signs. 💜

Question

Where will I park?

Answer

Parking space is abundant. No need to worry. We’ll have someone pointing you in the right direction.

Question

Can I get an uber if I drink too much?

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In mid-October, Preston County, WV, experiences crisp, cool autumn weather with average daily highs around 60-68 degrees and lows dropping from 39-49 degrees. Expect comfortable, sunny days ideal for fall foliage viewing, with, however, a high probability of cool, frosty mornings. Precipitation is moderate, and packing layers is recommended.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour where folks can enjoy finger foods and music until it’s time for dinner. The wedding party will be taking photos for a brief moment during this time.

Question

Can I bring a gift instead of adding to the cash fund?

Answer
