Question

Why are there two dates a year apart?

Answer

We have a lot of family and friends in the Midwest, West Coast, and beyond. To accommodate this and have the ability to celebrate with the majority of our loved ones, we decided to split our wedding up into both locations. ‘til death do us part: We are having a small ceremony and party (about 50 people) in Fargo on 10.31.25. Due to time and space constraints, the guest list in 2025 will be more limited. ‘til death do us party: We are then having a large reception (150+ people) in Oregon on 10.31.2026, our one year anniversary. This reception is where we plan to have a big party with everyone coming together as you are able. All are welcome to attend. Costumes, darkness, and Halloween fun to be had at both events!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please either wear a costume (anything goes) or dress as if you are going to a funeral (lots of black). This is the same for both events.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, a plus one for your significant other (or emotional support person) is allowed! Please just note this on the RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely. We will be having some Halloween fun and kids will make it even more festive! Our own kiddos will be there too. Please note how many kids will attend on the RSVP.

Question

Is alcohol allowed?

Answer

No, it is a dry wedding. The Scouting Center does not allow alcoholic beverages on its property, and we have loved ones in recovery. Please respect these boundaries and do not bring alcohol. Feel free to party it up after you leave if you’d like, just be safe!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 30 minutes early to get settled in before we start the rituals at 4pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

The Scouting Center should have enough parking for everyone. However, if needed, you can use the parking lot at the YMCA across the street.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please indicate any dietary restrictions in your RSVP, and we will accommodate.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes - See our registry page. Since we have all the “stuff” we need, we are asking for cash donations toward different plans we are saving up for, to include: Shower Remodel Brenden’s Office Adoption Fees Honeymoon Fund Family Cruise If you prefer not to send money on the website, you can also indicate what you want it to go toward in a physical card. Thank you in advance for helping us reach our goals!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

For the ceremony: October 1st, 2025 or sooner, please! For the reception in Oregon in 2026: please RSVP by August 1st, 2026.

Question

Where is the reception in Oregon in 2026?

Answer

Venue TBD! It will be in the Portland, Oregon area.
