Pueblito Paisa (Nutibara Hill)

Pueblito Paisa (Nutibara Hill)

calle 30 a, Auto. S, Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia

A great cultural stop that is located in the middle of Medellin city (it is on top of the only small mountain in the city itself). You will be able to find food, drinks, great views and also various things to buy if you wanted to take something back home. A must-see!

Comuna 13 - San Javier

Comuna 13 - San Javier

Medellín, Antioquia 050033, Colombia

This is a very notorious place to visit, it use to be one of the most violent neighborhoods of Medellin and about a decade ago it was turned into an art and culture showcase. You will need to get on the Metro and go to San Javier where you will be able to ride on a bus or taxi that will take you to the main area where you find all the good stuff to see. There will be many local guides that will offer to show you around, keep in mind to not go with the first price they give you. ASK FOR LESS! but having a guide is very helpful, however, you do not need one. There are many tourists and locals there at all times. Do this during the day. A must-see!

One of the top tourist attractions in the area! This place is about a 2-hour drive from the city of Medellin. Many people spend two days and one night in Guatape but you can do the main attractions in one day. Plan ahead of time if you do not want to miss anything. The rock might look very big but when we went there were kids and older adults going up, take your time and enjoy the amazing views (Spacially at the top). You will find a small restaurant at the top, as well as drinks and snacks. There are many more things to do around this area, such as: Taking a boat and going around the lakes where you will be able to go visit the old church that is underwater (you can still see the cross from the surface), various aquatics sports, camping, and restaurants. A MUST-SEE!
