Book your Memphis venue 6–12 months ahead for optimal selection, especially if you're planning a weekend wedding during peak season (spring and fall). Popular neighborhoods like Downtown and Midtown fill quickly during these periods.
If you're flexible with dates or planning an off-season wedding (January–March, September), you may find availability with 3–4 months' notice. However, booking further ahead gives you:
- First choice of your preferred date and time
- Better vendor availability for catering, florals, and photography
- More time to plan with your venue coordinator
- Reduced stress during the planning process
For holiday weekends or summer Saturdays, couples often secure venues 12–18 months in advance. Early booking also helps you lock in pricing before potential rate increases.
Memphis offers distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character:

East Memphis — More traditional and suburban, with country clubs and larger estates. Great for classic, garden-style weddings.
Germantown — Just outside the city, offering peaceful venues with spacious grounds and Southern charm.
