1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.

Our venue was originally built in 1942, and used as munitions storage during World War 2. After that, it was repurposed for different industrial uses until the 1990s, when we moved in and set up our antique shop. Thirty years later, the area has changed incredibly and we no longer work in antiques!

FAQs about wedding venues in Atlanta, GA
For a 100-guest wedding in Atlanta, expect a total budget between $27,800 and $41,800, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. This is notably higher than the national median of $25,000, reflecting Atlanta's popularity as a wedding destination.
Here's where your money goes:
- Florists: $6,276
- Venues: $4,911
- Catering: $3,929
- Bar services: $3,143
- Photographers: $2,799
- Planners: $2,729
- Videographers: $2,672
Venues typically account for about 14% of your total budget. Venue + catering combined represent roughly 41% of spending, so these two decisions will significantly shape your overall budget.
The right venue size depends on your final headcount and budget. Here's how Atlanta wedding costs scale across different guest sizes, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index:
- 50 guests: $16,900–$25,300 total
- 100 guests: $27,800–$41,800 total
- 150 guests: $38,100–$57,200 total
- 200 guests: $47,300–$70,900 total
- 250+ guests: $56,400–$98,400 total
Based on Zola marketplace data, Atlanta venues range from $2,500 to $6,500, with a median of $4,750. Larger guest counts don't just mean bigger venue fees—catering, florals, and bar services scale up too. Start by confirming your realistic guest list, then filter venues by that capacity. Most Atlanta venues can accommodate 50–300+ guests across different spaces.
Atlanta's thriving wedding scene means popular venues book quickly, especially for peak season (May through October and December holidays). To secure your preferred date and venue type, aim to book 9–12 months in advance.
Here's a realistic timeline:
- 12+ months out: Best selection and negotiating power; ideal for popular neighborhoods like Buckhead, Midtown, and Inman Park
- 6–9 months out: Good availability, but premium dates and top-tier venues may be limited
- 3–6 months out: Possible, but you may face date restrictions and fewer venue options
- Under 3 months: Only book if you find last-minute availability; limited choices and potentially higher costs
Weekend dates fill faster than weekdays. If you're flexible on timing or considering an off-season wedding (January–April, November), you'll have more breathing room and may find better rates.
Atlanta's diverse neighborhoods each offer distinct wedding aesthetics and vibes:
Buckhead: Upscale and polished, known for luxury estates, country clubs, and sophisticated ballrooms. Perfect for formal, elegant affairs.
Midtown: Urban energy and modern venues—lofts, galleries, and contemporary spaces. Great for stylish, creative weddings and easy guest access.
Inman Park: Historic charm with Victorian homes and tree-lined streets. Ideal for vintage, garden-inspired, or bohemian celebrations.
Grant Park: Close to Piedmont Park and Stone Mountain; offers both urban and nature-inspired settings. Popular for outdoor ceremonies and Atlanta BeltLine proximity.
Virginia-Highland: Neighborhood character with eclectic venues, local restaurants, and walkable streets. Suits casual, community-focused celebrations.
Each area has different venue styles, price points, and aesthetics. Consider your wedding vision, guest convenience, and budget when choosing your neighborhood.
