New York Celebration information?
Answer
We will hold a mini reception in New York for those who can not make it to the Caverns. This will be held sometime after the September 28th wedding date. We're still planning our New York Celebration so check back for more information soon!

Is there transportation to and from the caverns/ reception?
Answer
Yes! Check out our Travel & Accommodations page info about shuttle information. Additionally, there is parking at the caverns if you would like to drive to the ceremony.

What is your address?
Answer
If you'd like to send us something, we ask that you please use the McGaughey family address on Kennedy Ave, due to our apartment being located on a busy street. Our registries have been set up to automatically use this address. Feel free to text or email us if you need more details regarding the address!

Can I bring a date/family?
Answer
We have limited space in the cavern, so please only bring guests listed on your invitation. Or if your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, please feel free have a guest join you.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Semi-Formal: suits and cocktail dresses. The cavern temperature is always a comfortable 56 degrees F, the reception will be indoors. To get to the ceremony location within the caverns we will have to do some walking. Keeping this in mind, please plan to wear shoes which will allow you to walk to the ceremony location and back out of the caverns for the reception. For distance information, please see CEREMONY AT LURAY CAVERNS on the SCHEDULE tab above. Ladies, I recommend wearing flats to the ceremony and since both the cocktail hour and reception will be held at the Burner Barn, if you'd like, you can bring a second set of shoes to leave at the barn after cocktail hour and change into them when we return to the barn for the reception.

Will there be Walking/Stairs?
Answer
WALKING DISTANCES Cavern entrance --> ceremony location = approx .6 of a mile. Once at the ceremony location, seating will be provided. Exiting caverns = approx .6 of a mile (but we've been told shortcuts will be used to cut down the exit walking distance.) STAIRS The new cavern entrance does not have stairs and is wheelchair accessible. Reception is accessible by an average set of stairs or by a gravel ramp. If you have questions or concerns about walking distances or stairs, please let us know so we can inquire about possible accommodations.

Can you recommend any hotels?
Answer
Click the TRAVEL tab, for information about the Harrisonburg, VA hotels we're working with. On the TRAVEL tab, read about and pick a hotel then click the "VIEW" button below desired hotel to get discounted rates! If you choose a different hotel, we recommend staying in Harrisonburg since the shuttle bus will only be provided in this area. You can also book a room at one of the inns in Luray, V.A. but then you will need to drive or Uber to the wedding location.
