Mini Melanie was founded in 2015 by sisters Melanie and Diana Moss. Melanie grew up baking with their grandmother, and her hobby steadily grew into an obsession. While attending Northwestern University, Melanie studied in Paris and was Sous Chef at Cours de Cuisine atelier. She later attended the Institute of Culinary Education and honed her craft in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Babbo and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, where she was Pastry Sous Chef. Here is the corner stone of our house, Mr. Armando Leyva. At the very young age of 23, along side his wife Mrs. Lorely Leyva, they decided to follow in his fathers foot steps and enter the bakery business. Still a novice to the bakery world, he leaned on his fathers many years of expeciece as a bread master. Much to his surpise the bakery was much more than just breads, soon they would discover many talents needed to be learned and fast.

Jon Payson and Naomi Josepher moved to NYC in the early Nineties. Together, they enjoyed seeking out phenomenal desserts all around the city. When they moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn in 2003, they noticed a need for a dessert café on quickly changing Fifth Avenue. After reading an inspirational book on chocolate, they decided to create a café specializing in high-end chocolate, extraordinary desserts, handmade ice creams, dessert wines and beers from all over the world, as well as superb coffee. They opened in January 2005 and is currently serving the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Hello my name is Amanda Sims and I am the owner and cake designer of Sugar with Style. As a former fashion visual designer I am inspired by colors and patterns from art, nature and fashion that translate into really unique cake designs. My cakes are both sophisticated and fun with a very modern aesthetic. I am truly passionate about creating something unique for my couples by getting to know them through the process. Wedding cakes are typically served at the end of the night so its always my pleasure to provide a sweet ending.

Hey I’m Nylah! A homebaker located in Hillside, NJ, just living my dream of creating ambrosial sweets. It all started in 2014 when I would sell cupcakes at my high school for a dollar! Between that and watching Cupcake Wars on Food Network I knew for sure I was meant to be in the kitchen and that I would have a cake business of my own. I’m grateful for all the events where I get to create something special as the focal point and make everyone’s experience memorable.
