Our Story

Don't rush things you want to last forever

Chris and Emma started their journey online. Chris kept viewing Emma's profile, so she sent the first message. He was a cute lurker, after all. Their first date was at Markham Park, chaperoned by Emma's dogs, Munchkin and Rose. She brought them as back up, but he was much cuter than his photos! He seemed to think she was quite pretty as well. They walked around the park, talking for hours. They couldn't get enough of each other after that, because they had 4 dates in their first week of knowing each other. Their first kiss was on Valentines Day, 9 years before their wedding day. How fitting. Their fondness of each other grew as they started taking day trips around South Florida, from the beach to other parks. As long as they were outside, they were happy. Fishing, hiking, hammocking, camping, diving, and paddleboarding soon followed. As their hobbies grew, their bond did too. They grew together and got through issues together as a team. Their first road trip, they slept in the car as they drove through the Appalachian mountains. It was days with no shower, in a small space, while it was rainy and cold. Surprisingly, they worked together better than any time before. They didn't get sick of each other and grew together even more. They even climbed Blood Mountain together and got to the top, with a new understanding of why it was called Blood Mountain. But as a team, they got through it together and were rewarded with amazing views. Some years were hard, but they persevered. They balanced each other out. Chris has a steady and chill personality that calmed Emma's more wilder and spontaneous personality. But in turn, she brought Chris more out of his shell. Emma brought the adventurous spirit out of Chris and he was her peace. With love and patience, their love and friendship with one another grew. After 9 years of growing together, they are getting married with the sentiment that you can't rush things that you want to last forever. They now have a mini farm and spend most of their days off outside, appreciating every minute of it. This is where their ceremony will be held. Alongside their beloved chickens, goats and dogs.

FAQs

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be clear parking signs on where to park. If you can't figure it out, park in driveway, then yard and overflow can park on the swale.

For all the days along the way
