"I love you." "I know."

Kate and Zach’s story began in September 2013 in Denver, Colorado, when a chance meeting sparked something unforgettable—igniting over shared laughs, long drives, and late-night conversations. Those early years tested their patience and deepened their connection, with Kate working night shifts as a nurse in Aurora and Zach away in the Wyoming oil fields. When Kate became a travel nurse in 2015, Zach left the oilfield life behind to join her, choosing love and the open road. They explored new cities, found joy in the unexpected, and eventually returned to Denver in 2017 to put down roots. Since then, their life together has been a beautiful mix of travel and homegrown happiness: hiking mountain trails, playing rounds of disc golf, riding e-bikes through the city, collecting matching tattoos, and hosting friends and family for good food, cold cocktails, and late-night laughter. After exploring four continents, eight countries, and countless memories getting lost together, they got engaged in Madrid in 2019 (Zach would love to tell you about his epic proposal fake-outs throughout Paris). They originally planned to marry in 2020, but—like so many—were waylaid by a global pandemic, sandwiched between the arrival of two beautiful kids. Now, 12 years later, they’re finally making it official, and are so excited to be surrounded by family (those who are stuck with them and those they are chosen along the way), the people who’ve cheered them on all along.
