Sunrise Trip to Haleakala National Park

Warm clothing (everything you have), shoes appropriate for hiking.

We are planning a sunrise trip to the summit of Haleakalā, the volcano which makes up most of the island of Maui. We would love for anyone who wishes to join us on the excursion. Haleakalā requires reservations for a parking spot, so if you want to join please go to the provided link. It’s only a dollar but you must make a reservation in your name with your car. More reservations will be released on June 2. We are planning to leave around 3 am for Sunrise. Take your camera and your coat and all the warm clothes you have! Road to Hana

Casual-wear good for hiking, bring a swimsuit and flip-flops.

We would love for folks to join us on the Road to Hana, a caravan day trip. This is a beautiful drive with multiple stops along the way to view and hike. It’s about 3 hours of driving (on a winding road) to get to Hana, a sleepy beach town at the end of the road. We recommend making a reservation for Waianapanapa State Park, a black sand beach near the end of the road. It requires reservations to be able to enter and it is lovely. We made a reservation for our car parking spot for 3pm-6pm on June 5. Please go online and do the same if you want to join. We will plan to bring a picnic lunch so please let us know if you can join us, so we can bring food for everyone. Boat Trip!

9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunblock, light jacket, change of clothes, and shoes (no heels), and an ID showing you are > 21 years old.

We have rented an all expenses paid private catamaran and hope all of us will be going to Lanai—another Hawaiian island—for the day. Meet at 9:30am at Maalaea Harbor (30 minutes drive from the Fairmont) for check in with a strict 10 am start. Breakfast will be provided on the boat, and it will take about 1.5 hours to get to Lanai. The channel is typically smooth sailing. On Lanai we will have about 3 hours, on a beautiful beach with chairs and games available. There will be snorkeling (equipment provided) off the shore for those who want to snorkel. There are tide pools for those who want to bathe in the calm water. There will be a full barbecue lunch provided on the beach. On the return, we will have some snacks, an open bar, and some music to party on our way back to Maui, also about 1.5 hours return. This is mostly just a day for all of us to be together! We should return around 6 pm, making it an 8 hour trip.

The Wedding Ceremony

4:45 pm - 6:00 pm

Tina will be wearing formal Indian clothes, Yves will be wearing a suit, but formal or cocktail wear either Indian or Western, or whatever you want is fine with us (with the exception of Tuxedos or Speedos!) We will be taking photos with everyone!

This will be an outdoor garden Buddhist/Hindu ceremony. *In case of poor weather or rain, there will be an alternate location indoors in the atrium.

Cocktail Hour

6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Cocktail reception on Polo Lawn adjacent to the ceremony with apps and open bar, so drink up! We will be cutting and serving the cake at the cocktail reception.

Dinner

7:15 pm - 9:30 pm

Sit-down, 4 course Dinner at Nick’s Fishmarket at the Fairmont. You will have a choice of entrees including a mix of vegetarian, fish, and meat options.

After Party
