How Can I get to and from the wedding?

Answer

We will have 2 shuttles picking folks up in Miraflores and taking them to the wedding, please let us know if you would like the shuttle Uber is also available to the location, it is about a 30 minute drive from Miraflores. There will be parking at the venue as well for anyone who is driving while in Peru.

Elegant attire required. Women: long dresses, avoiding light tones Men: Suit and Tie

What will the weather be like in March?

Answer

March will be the end of summer, so expect it to still be hot during the day and warm into the night.

What is the best way to get from the airport to where I am staying?

Answer

We have many contacts for trusted private car services that will receive your flight details and wait outside to take you. Write to Matt or Ximena for the details. Uber is also a valid option, though we would recommend uber black for the airport area.

How far is Macchu Pichu from Lima where the wedding is?

Answer

One of the 7th Wonders of the World is less than a 2 hour plane ride from Lima. The city of Cusco you fly into is antique and amazing with sights of its own, in addition to sites nearby before taking the train to Macchu Piccu. We recommend 2 days in Cusco at least, and Macchu Pichu is a full day event of travel. Ask us for our tour guide for personal tours and he coordinates all the details.

What are the best foods to eat while I am here?

Answer

Ceviche! - Peru's signature dish of fished cooked in lime juice (Punto Azul, La Mar, Rosa Nautica, Cala) Pisco Sour - Peru's signature cocktail of Pisco (grape liquid) lime juice and more! Chilcano is also a noteworthy Peruvian speciality Rotesserie Chicken - Don Tito's MUST TRY. The most amazing chicken you will ever have with huge sides of fries and salad, and of course, an Inka Cola Taquenos - a signature appetizer usually of cheese inside a wontan wrapper and fried with a guacamole dipping sauce Lomo Saltado - one of the most famous dishes, asian style sauteed filet mignon with peppers, tomatoes, Causa - Peru is famous for its variety of potatoes. Where are some places I must go?

Answer

Larcomar Miraflores - a mall on the side of the plateau with an amazing ocean view with delicious restaurants. If you walk to the left when facing the ocean, it will open up amazing views of the foilage all on the side of the plateau. San Francisco Church - one of the oldest Spanish churches (1674) with historic art, architecture, and most interesting of all, catacombs with real bones. Tour guides are available outside the church and speak perfect english. Lima Cathedral - another amazing historic church, though it is sometimes closed. Huaca Pullanca - one of the oldest clay pyramids, a historic archaelogical site. There are tours to walk the site with tour guides and also there is a fantastic peruvian restaurant on site with a view of the ruins - best seats are at night, where the ruins are lit up with lights Barranco - one of Lima's cultural hub's, it is a nice afternoon to walk around and view the colorful buildings and ocean views. Eating lunch at Restaurant will allow you to walk out to a stunning view of the ocean. There are many tours available for half day or full day trips. Some full day trips include swimming with sea turtles and viewing seal island. Sandsurfing and dune-buggying are other options for full day excursions that require some travel time.
