“In late 2020 I had decided to fly to Kansas so I may visit a close friend of mine. Me and her had talked a few times on a common game that we all spent time on. The first time I got to meet her face to face was easily very special to me and I knew it wasn’t going to be the last time that we crossed paths.” - Wylie
"We met through a mutual friend (Brian) in college. On his first visit out to K-state, we instantly clicked. We developed a close friendship over the past 4 years through phone calls, video games, and sharing details about daily life. A year after I moved to Washington we realized we always had more than just a friendship. We couldn't let our love for each other go and decided to take a leap of faith. The rest is history :)" - Ellie

Flight
Please fly direct to SeaTac if you are not located in WA. SeaTac is a 2 hour drive from Lynden. Bellingham Airport is also an option for a shorter distance, but the price difference will be noticeable. Vancouver BC Canada and Abbostford BC Canada airports are options for those who are international travelers. For my driving peeps, let us know when you are making this trip so we can keep in touch!
Rental Car
I highly recommend getting a rental car. Lynden is a small country town and there are no Ubers available. Use the discount code J157617 to get up to 10% off on a rental car from Avis! The discount code is eligible until August 2026 so please book in advance! Other websites for discounts book through budget.com
Train
If a rental car is not in your best interests when traveling to and from Seatac scheduling with one of the shuttle buses, Light rail, and Amtrak services will be your next option. Shuttle buses: run from SeaTac airport to Bellingham airport. Light Rail & Amtrak: runs from Seatac to Bellingham. Use light rail first and then after a short walk hop on the Amtrak up to Bellingham.
Travel Note
There is a variety of hotels to choose from in the area. We will have a hotel room block at Cobblestone Hotel & Suites Lynden and La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bellingham, for those who are interested.

It's a really cute place that a wife and husband own. It isn't super busy, but the food is amazing and has a cozy atmosphere inside. Order tea with your meal because it complements it so well! I highly recommend this place for sushi.
Fresh local oysters by the bay!
A must-have while visiting Washington. Some of the best coffee is only available in the Bellingham, Lynden, and Blaine regions. Locals even come up north just to get a delicious cup of coffee!
A full-service bar and kitchen, and have been serving up delicious food and craft cocktails in Bellingham for 13+ years
