Question

Seriously, what does "Competitive Cocktail" mean?

Answer

It means, dress to impress, no matter how that resonates with you. We want you to be comfortable in your nicest Patagonia flannel, or use this as an excuse to test run your Met Gala look. We're just excited you're here and ready to party, and yes there will be a winner.

Question

What's the easiest way to get to the Nordic Museum?

Answer

There are a decent number of buses that will drop you off right in front of the venue or just a few blocks away. The Nordic Museum also has a paid parking lot in the back that can accommodate anyone looking to park at the venue for the evening, there is no second location so once you're here, you're good! Parking for the evening will be $8 per car and pay stations will accept card. Ride shares are also a great option, but can be a bit expensive on weekends especially. But they are quick, reliable, and never a long wait. That stretch of Market St. is a bit narrow so ask your driver to turn on 28th at the light, and drop you in the parking lot in the back. That will give you plenty of space to unload without holding up traffic. Yes, there will be traffic and the show starts at 5:30, please plan accordingly!

Question

Inside or outside?

Answer

Both! We are planning on hosting the ceremony and reception indoors at the museum with a cocktail hour outside on the pavilion - weather permitting. Weather in early June can be a bit temperamental so we do have space to accommodate everyone indoors, but fingers crossed we get some sun and can enjoy the terrace and garden!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Typically we rock 'the more the merrier' vibe, but it's a wedding, so we need to be mindful with our guest lists and what the space can hold. Unless your invite specifically names a guest or your children, please refrain from bringing them.

Question

My kid/s are coming with me, will I need to babysit all night?

Answer

No! We also love your children, but understand it can be difficult to parent while you've got a beer in your hand and trying to cut a rug on the dance floor. We have hired a few nannies to join us after the ceremony and will have a separate room at the museum for children to chill out, color, stare at your iPad, so you can have a bit of a breather.
